BLACK (2005) – BoxOffice Operation.
Black was released on 4th February, 2005. It was produced under Applause Entertainment banner. Primarily it was budgeted 12 Crore. But due to fire accident at Shimla, its budget exceeded by 5 Crore. With print and publicity cost its final cost was 20 Crore. From overseas it earned massive 35.5 Crore(7.4 Millions), 5 Crore from Satellite and 2 Crore from Video and Music rights. Domestically it was released on just 205 prints and earned around 23 Crore. This makes total recovery of around 55.5 Crore Nett from Theatrical business and 7 Crore from other rights.
