  1. I am very to hear that films like Suhaag, Sholay and kabhi Kabhie were huge hits in the overseas market as well. But I remember hearing that films like Amar Akbar Anthony, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar and Big B starrers were huge hits in the overseas market.

Can we say that Big B was the SRK as the King of Overseas in that time era

    • There was no accountancy of overseas boxoffce back then, so its very difficult to get exact status of each movie. Yes these movies were huge overseas, but market was limited those days and release pattern was scattered.

  2. SRK might be the biggest overseas but has definitely lost ground at the grass root level in the last 5 years. None of his films since Rab Ne..have done well domestically,a far cry from how Salman and Aamir have penetrated the domestic market.

  3. SRK is definately in decline imo…..whereas Aamir and Salman have gone from strength to strength.

Re. Amitabh……I loved the 70’s era…there was something so cool about it and the films which were made were amazing…pure film-making – gr8 scripts & direction……the mid 80’s onwards became too masala orientated and stories became diluted and scripts came 2nd to formula.

  4. ACCORDING TO TRADE GUIDE :-SHOLAY-A111 SUHAAG-A111 KABHI KABHI-A11
