 Hum Aapke Hain Kaun was directed by Sooraj Barjatya, and produced by Rajshri Productions. It was remake of Rajshri’s earlier 1982 Hit Nadiya Ke Paar.

    And if we convert that 67 cr with 2010 ticket rates then how much it will be?

    • HAHK has an edge. HAHK adjusted business would have been 330+ Crore based on current average ticket price.

  3. i m a huge aamir fan but i wld still say HAHK is the biggest phenomenon i have seen in my lifetime followed by 3I,hahk is a trur true true ATBB,in my books probably the biggest hit ever after sholay

  4. Yakuza bhai how ironic if we compare it with todays’s releases where Numbers decrease as weeks go by and here numbers increased first and then after a good run only they decreased 🙂

    • One can say that business scenario has been changed, but Rajshree’s another “Vivah” trended similarly in 2006. We never know if we see similar trend in 2015 by another path breaking movie.

  5. Is it also possible to give such info about vivah, Sholay and other such interesting cases?
    I regularly follow this website, its much more informative and educative than any other bollywood website in that the authors give so much thought apart from just displaying the numbers.
    But there are very few articles that are posted here.

  9. Another amazing article Yakuza. HAHK is definitely the biggest hit of our times, never got to see a movie like that ran at the BO so well. Salman & Madhuri was an amazing pair at that time. This movie really changed the whole BO scenario. Another great movie of our times, and another feather in the cap for Salman, Madhuri and Rajshri

  11. Yakuza, i thnk the correct way of measuring the BO verdict is number of person watchd n the theater… Is there any source where v can get these numbers… Wats ur take on this…

    • Check new post , just uploaded, that analysis technique fits the bill perfect for number of footfalls. Because I did adjustments based on ticket price, not currency value. So final ranking is actually based on footfalls (though indirectly)
