Boxoffice Woke up this week by WUS and Do Knot Disturb

After flying success of Wanted, Box-office went on sleeping mode in past week, but woke up this week again with two new releases, to the utter surprise both releases got good response at box-office on opening day.

Wake Up Sid, was expected to open slow, but smart release strategy of few shows in multiplexes and negligible screening on interiors single screens, it opened with good capacity of 70%+ on Friday at metros and mini metros, first day collection is approx. 3.75 crore which is impressive considering moderate release.

DO Knot Disturb as expected opens with better response on wider release on Friday with average capacity of around 60%+, even single screens are posing good collections. First day estimate is around 5 crore. Saturday should be better.

Wanted as reported earlier, collects around 53 crore in Two weeks, with distribution share of 33 crore. Third week enters with consistent collections at single screens; however multiplexes will not contribute much from here on.

  2. DKD should do well at single screens too thoguh WANTED Is still storng all over.

WAKE UP SID should hold on with WOM and make decent money!

  3. Wanted is a one horse race and was super strong at single screens in week two and managed to gross around 18 crore nett business in week two. The film remained strong on weekdays and has also opened well in its third week despite the competition of two strong new releases. The two week nett business is around the 52 crore mark. BLOCKBUSTER
