Finally Wanted gets what Salman deserves ..

We never saw it since Ghajini and even Ghajini was sole exception, Tremendous business over weekdays is just going over the head of Trade analyst, Wanted was predicted At most 28-30 Crore first week on Sunday evening and even was written as Above average/SemiHit by some over smart trade portals because they were thinking Wanted should proceed by general trending i.e. 50% Drop over weekdays.

But Wanted has done which no other movie in this decade dares to do. It follows the exceptional business path, extraordinary trending, It look like Wanted is enjoying whole week as weekend. Just look at trending…

Friday (6.25 Crore)

Saturday (6.75 Crore)

Sunday ( 6.58 Crore)

Monday (7 Crore)

Tuesday ( 5.88 Crore)

If we don’t disclose the Days, It would be impossible to guess which actual weekends were. And guys Wednesday also opens to another high collection. This would be Historical. Wanted 5 days Nett collection is 32.46 Crore. And Distribution share is 20 Crore Approx. ,  Distribution share of 20 Crore in first five days is highest ever after Ghajini. Wanted should be second highest first week Distributor share in this decade.

Dil Bole Hadippa :

As reported Yesterday, DBH further falls by 50% on Tuesday with 1.38 Crore business. However not bad if we consider tendency of normal drop and low price fare. But in front of Wanted Mania these figures lost their glory. Total five days Nett figures now stand at 17 Crore.

  30. y is everybody burning with WANTED sucess

  32. can any1 tell me what was wanted’s collection at the box office on wednesday? n is it on the verge of becoming a superhit film if not a blockbuster???

  33. Wanted is a craze across many centres in the country. The first week business of Wanted in Bihar will be around 1.20 crore nett which will be a new circuit record beating the 1.12 crore nett (8days) of Ghajini. In other small circuits like Assam and Orissa it may also set new highs. In Orissa the film is a rage with collections nearly three times higher than regular big films apart from Ghajini. Many B+C centres in CP Berar, Ci, Rajasthan and Nizam are also showing higher collections than Ghajini.

The craze of the film can be put into perspective with the collections below. Normally a hit film shows 50% of its Friday collections on Wednesday but Wanted is showing similar or even better figures at many centres outside the metroes.

    Friday – 6.38 lakhs

    Wednesday – 7.66 lakhs

    Friday – 2.63 lakhs

    Wednesday – 3.07 lakhs

    Friday – 7.55 lakhs

    Wednesday – 6.20 lakhs

Lucknow and Varanasi are A grade centres of UP while Indore is an A grade centre of CI. The B and C centres of UP, Bihar, CP Berar, CI, Rajasthan, Nizam, Assam and Orissa are just phenomenal to put it mildly.

  34. Salman Khan’s Wanted looks likely to emerge the biggest of 2009 till date. Although it is hard to be 100% sure just yet but the chances look good that it will beat the near 33 crore distributor share of Love Aaj Kal.

Wanted is like a juggernaut at single screens with even house full boards going up on Wednesday. The business in multiplexes has also settled well. This week’s major release What’s Your Rashee has weak reports and a terrible advance and Dil Bole Hadippa has dropping collections which will leave Wanted a clear run in its second week. Another added advantage is that Monday is a holiday for Dusshera which fill further boost collections.

The first week share for Wanted is looking to be at least 21 crore and looking at the steady collections on Wednesday, the film has chances of doing 35 crore share or even more in the long run.

  71. HAY TITTU, Last 5 year – 2005’s Biggest hit was NO ENTRY & AlSO MAINE PYAR KIUN KYA , LUCKY, and then recently salman give’s biggest blockbuster PARTNER Then now 2o09’s BIGGEst hit WANTED. if you do not know something you do not say it. so you do not know if things do not come on this site

  72. plzzzzzzzz let me knw after how many hours site will be updated?? Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  73. That all salmans film is multistarrers. He dont have any solo hit.Lucky is super flop fim.I told that he dont have any solo hits between 5 yrs.

  74. Only reason of wanted got huge opening because movie is the remake of tamil and telugu superhit pokiri.Otherwise movie get only bad opening.

  75. Superstar means he has solo superhits.

  76. Wanted is almost certain to emerge first blockbuster of 2009 and is definitely the biggest hit of 2009. The first week nett collections seem to be in 36 crore region with the distributor share being a huge 23 crore plus which is similar to what Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi did and higher than what Love Aaj Kal did. The single screen business has been phenomenal and is strong going into second week.

Overall the film looks likely to be amongst the top ten theatrical revenue earners ever in India. The lifetime share may well be close to 40 crore which will put it up there with Krissh and Om Shanti Om and ahead of films like Welcome, Raja Hindustani, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham source: box office india

  77. but says Total collections for Week 1: 11,17,82,697?

  84. Hey Tittu, When a multistar film becomes a flop it’s because of Salman Khan and when a film becomes a hit multistar you don’t count him more and the films were flops too had multistar. lucky i believe that it has not come a big hit but it was counted among the top ten film of 2005. And what do you say that is a super flop you don’t know nothing.

  90. wanted rocks world wide
    love u sallu bhai

  91. Salman Khan is a huge super-star from his begining of bollywood career with the all time blockbuster Maine Pyar Kiya, which defeated SHOLAY for the 1st time in bollywood history and created a new era of romantic movies in bollywood! After the success of his 1st film Salman is ruling the bollywood industry since 20 long long years! Salman has delivered an all-time blockbuster film in every decade, example: 1989: Maine Pyar Kiya (in 80’s decade), 1994: Hum Aapke Hai Kaun (in 90’s decade) and 2009: WANTED (in current decade)! Even at the age of 43+ Salman is enjoying the super-stardom with the most handsome status! He is still most popular and dream-boy of every girl in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh (he has craze even in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, South Africa and Europe). Indian media made SRK King for themselve and himself, but even after media’s for ever criticsm and many controversies Salman’s career has never sunk! We know that media always try to show Salman as a very bad man and the worst star, but his fans (world-wide) never let him down, he always lives in the hearts of his fans and the people who know him well! Can u imagine if SRK or any star would face these media enemity, what would happen to them, u wouldn’t find even the 1st letter of their name but Salman is Salman Khan, he can never be ruined by anything, he is the Phoenix of bollywood, he is the one and only hero of bollywood who is even recognized by Hollywood! He is voted as the most popular Indian actor in the world (according to, internet voting result), According to SRK’s magazine Filmfare also Salman Khan is the most popular among the Indian people of age 25-45 years (Filmfare survey in India), Salman is role-modal of every fit youth of India, Whtever Salman Khan does becomes style of the nation, example: Body bulding, Short-hair style (from Hum Aapke hai Kaun/Karan Arjun, befor these movies- long tapori hair-style was popular in bollywood), Leather Jackets, Parellal formal trousers, Skin-tight Jeans and T-Shirts, Tere Naam hair style, Shaved-chest (this style followed by almost all actors even hairy actors like Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgan and many others). Salman Khan is the trend-setter in India, he is the most popular and handsome man, the dare-devil (bindaas) golden and kind hearted man! Salute to Mr. Salman Khan! Best wishes for the future! God bless u and help u always!

  92. However perception plays a huge factor here Rock Williams, and a lot of what you’ve said rightly indicates that on a purely factual level Salman is, but as far as what the aam juntaa percieves you’d be hard push to say that SRK didn’t rule the 90’s!

    • Though I must add, Salman’s popularity is a bit like Dutt’s….hit ya flops don’t affect him as he is bound to bounce back at any time! Infact, given the number of times Salman has made a comeback, one would be stupid to doubt him again….
