‘Black’ holds third spot at Korean box office

Less than two weeks after its Korea release — billed as the biggest for a Hindi movie there — Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s critically-acclaimed “Black” has shot up to the third spot at that country’s box office.

The Rani Mukherjee, Amitabh Bachchan-starrer opened on August 28 at 180 screens in the country and was one of the biggest releases for a non-Korean or Hollywood film.

The movie is now behind Korean blockbusters “Take-Off” and “Haeundae”.

The opening of “Black” in Korea has gathered a lot of attention from general audiences and industry insiders alike.
