Ritesh Deshmukh (born 17 December 1978) is an Indian actor. He is son of Vilasrao Deshmukh Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Government Of India.Deshmukh was born to a Marathi family. He made his debut in 2003 with Tujhe Meri Kasam in which he co-starred Genelia D’souza which was average at the box office. He then did the lead role in Out of Control. He became a known face after the 2004 comedy Masti, again co-starring Genelia, which established him as an actor. Later on Bluffmaster cemented his position. It was Ram Gopal Verma who brings best out of ritesh in Naach and Rann. Both were outstanding movies and considered as best Deshmukh performances. Though he got commercial success in multistarrers like Houseful and Heyy babby only.

Ritesh is a bigger star than Abhishek
Not Really, In last 2 years, Drona was abhishek lowest opener @9.5 Crore in first week. While recent Ritesh Deshmukh starrer “Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai” opened to just under 3.5 crore. And Ritesh has many solo movies in this range, which is not the case with Abhishek.
But as an actor, i keep both in high regards, Specially their bonding in Naach and Bluffmaster was awesome.

i like Ritiesh. imo he’s a v.good supporting actor. He’s not a lead actor as we all know. However imo he needs to do better roles consistently.
