Praz Gold : JAGIR (Hindi, 1984)

The 80′s saw a plethora of masala action films though sadly by this time the “formula” itself had been turned in to just that, devoid of any meaning for the most. In amongst the lot came Pramod Chakravarthy’s Indian-Westerner JAGIR.
Part revenge drama, part lost and found drama, part western actioner, part 3 MUSKETEER’s this is a zany, and oddly over-the-top masala actioner which one could easily mistake for a Anil Sharma film. The opening credits alone are proof enough that Chakravarthy was inspired enough by the genre to go all out.
