Praz Gold : JUDWAA (Hindi, 1997)
Indian Cinema has probably seen more “double role/doppleanger” films than any other industry out there. It’s a history strong in entertainment which has provided the platform to countless great story-tellers and artistes over time. Be it Hema Malini in Ramesh Sippy’s SEETA AUR GEETA, Dillip Kumar in RAM AUR SHYAM or Anil Kapoor in Rakesh Roshan’s KISHEN KANIHYA, heck even Sridevi did a fine turn in Pankuj Parashar’s CHAALBAAZ. These were the “double role” films which were of a traditional nature unlike say DON or SATTE PE SATTA where the other “half” isn’t related as a brother or in a father-son garb!
