Finally Wanted gets what Salman deserves ..
We never saw it since Ghajini and even Ghajini was sole exception, Tremendous business over weekdays is just going over the head of Trade analyst, Wanted was predicted At most 28-30 Crore first week on Sunday evening and even was written as Above average/SemiHit by some over smart trade portals because they were thinking Wanted should proceed by general trending i.e. 50% Drop over weekdays.
But Wanted has done which no other movie in this decade dares to do. It follows the exceptional business path, extraordinary trending, It look like Wanted is enjoying whole week as weekend. Just look at trending…

If we don’t disclose the Days, It would be impossible to guess which actual weekends were. And guys Wednesday also opens to another high collection. This would be Historical. Wanted 5 days Nett collection is 32.46 Crore. And Distribution share is 20 Crore Approx. , Distribution share of 20 Crore in first five days is highest ever after Ghajini. Wanted should be second highest first week Distributor share in this decade.
Dil Bole Hadippa :
As reported Yesterday, DBH further falls by 50% on Tuesday with 1.38 Crore business. However not bad if we consider tendency of normal drop and low price fare. But in front of Wanted Mania these figures lost their glory. Total five days Nett figures now stand at 17 Crore.

Dil Bole Hadippa was fabulous! Wanted was bakwaas movie for cheap front benchers only. It gives bollywood a bad name!

can any1 tell me what was wanted’s collection at the box office on wednesday? n is it on the verge of becoming a superhit film if not a blockbuster???
Wanted is a craze across many centres in the country. The first week business of Wanted in Bihar will be around 1.20 crore nett which will be a new circuit record beating the 1.12 crore nett (8days) of Ghajini. In other small circuits like Assam and Orissa it may also set new highs. In Orissa the film is a rage with collections nearly three times higher than regular big films apart from Ghajini. Many B+C centres in CP Berar, Ci, Rajasthan and Nizam are also showing higher collections than Ghajini.
The craze of the film can be put into perspective with the collections below. Normally a hit film shows 50% of its Friday collections on Wednesday but Wanted is showing similar or even better figures at many centres outside the metroes.

Friday – 6.38 lakhs
Wednesday – 7.66 lakhs
Varanasi
Friday – 2.63 lakhs
Wednesday – 3.07 lakhs

Friday – 7.55 lakhs

Lucknow and Varanasi are A grade centres of UP while Indore is an A grade centre of CI. The B and C centres of UP, Bihar, CP Berar, CI, Rajasthan, Nizam, Assam and Orissa are just phenomenal to put it mildly.
Salman Khan’s Wanted looks likely to emerge the biggest of 2009 till date. Although it is hard to be 100% sure just yet but the chances look good that it will beat the near 33 crore distributor share of Love Aaj Kal.
Wanted is like a juggernaut at single screens with even house full boards going up on Wednesday. The business in multiplexes has also settled well. This week’s major release What’s Your Rashee has weak reports and a terrible advance and Dil Bole Hadippa has dropping collections which will leave Wanted a clear run in its second week. Another added advantage is that Monday is a holiday for Dusshera which fill further boost collections.
The first week share for Wanted is looking to be at least 21 crore and looking at the steady collections on Wednesday, the film has chances of doing 35 crore share or even more in the long run.

Only reason of wanted got huge opening because movie is the remake of tamil and telugu superhit pokiri.Otherwise movie get only bad opening.

The first week nett collections seem to be in 36 crore region with the distributor share being a huge 23 crore plus which is similar to what Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi did and higher than what Love Aaj Kal did. The single screen business has been phenomenal and is strong going into second week.

Hey Tittu, When a multistar film becomes a flop it’s because of Salman Khan and when a film becomes a hit multistar you don’t count him more and the films were flops too had multistar. lucky i believe that it has not come a big hit but it was counted among the top ten film of 2005. However perception plays a huge factor here Rock Williams, and a lot of what you’ve said rightly indicates that on a purely factual level Salman is, but as far as what the aam juntaa percieves you’d be hard push to say that SRK didn’t rule the 90′s!
Though I must add, Salman’s popularity is a bit like Dutt’s….hit ya flops don’t affect him as he is bound to bounce back at any time! Infact, given the number of times Salman has made a comeback, one would be stupid to doubt him again….
